Rush LimbaughPolitical commentator Rush Limbaugh has jumped on the bandwagon of casting blame on heavy metal music for violent acts. Listing counter points to the criticism that has befallen Republicans and the Tea Party in light of the Tuscon, Arizona shootings and attempt on Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ life, Limbaugh stated of the shooter, Jared Lee Loughner, “The guy listened to heavy metal, and some of that anarchist stuff. We’re dealing with an insane individual.”

MetalInsider clarifies that “apparently, it was discovered that Loughner is a hard rock/metal fan through his MySpace page, where he posted a comment about attending a concert of Fear Before (formerly known as Fear Before The March Of Flames).”
