Detroit technical death metal group AS THEY SLEEP has launched its debut music video from the recently released full-length, “Dynasty,” for the track, “Oracle of the Dead.” The video, hosted by Noisecreep.com, can be viewed below.
The “Oracle of the Dead” music video was filmed at Northend Studios in Detroit with director, Drew Russ (A Day To Remember, Impending Doom, War of Ages). The ringside concept for the video was a collaborative effort between the band and director, though AS THEY SLEEP vocalist, Aaron Bridgewater, admits that the video was more about having fun, rather than exploring the concept behind Dynasty’s focus on the rise and fall of empires throughout history. “It in no way, shape, or form has anything to do with the song itself or the record. It’s just all of us being idiots, really. ’Oracle of the Dead’ is just stupidly unrelenting, and we figured why not come out swinging?”
