Red Cord Records have released a new lyric video for Behold! The City’s new track “Resuscitate”. The track will appear on the band’s forthcoming label debut, titled Seekers, which releases August 14th.

Starting a band in this over-saturated music scene has never been more difficult but Behold! The City, a melodic hardcore band from Barrie, ON are an anomaly in this industry. In under two years, they went from a group of friends playing local shows to a hard-working touring band that has gained a significant regional following.

Behold! The City has toured extensively throughout Ontario, booking shows themselves as well as recording their own music video. The number of shows they’ve played and their strong live performance has helped them build up a loyal fan base both on the ground and online, with over 4000 fans on their Facebook. Only determination and an excellent work ethic, along with the support of those around them could propel Behold! The City to where they are now, and where they are going.

But their goal as a band is not just to be heard and to gain success as they have been doing, but they desire to make a positive impact on anyone who listens to what they have to say. Their relationship with Jesus Christ comes first and foremost in their lives and their careers as musicians as they deliver messages of hope, courage, passion and God’s love through their music.

In June 2011, they released their first EP entitled “Kings and Cowards,” which they have been touring on since then. This has opened up opportunities to play with such bands as For Today, Stray From The Path, A Plea For Purging, The Chariot, Cancer Bats and more. Their hard work has garnered interest from certain record labels and industry professionals, which has led to a signing with Red Cord Records.

This year sees Behold! The City taking huge leaps in their music career with several cross-continent tours booked and a full-length album entitled “Seekers” set for release in mid August. With the foundation they’ve built and amazing friends and fans to support them, only God knows where their next step will take them.
