In the July 2011 issue of Guitar World magazine, you can find the debut installment of “Mega Bass” column penned by MEGADETH‘s David Ellefson. The first column, “Broadening Horizon”, focuses on increasing your musicality through diversity, plus bass riffs from the MEGADETH song “Peace Sells”.
The following is an excerpt from David‘s first column: “This month, I’d like to talk about how playing diverse styles of music can help you improve your musical abilities. In my opinion, there are certain skills that can never be emphasized enough — technique, timing, playing well with other musicians, and the art of listening. But I’m also constantly reminded that versatility is a vital part of our craft, regardless of the genre(s) we may prefer to play in.”
The magazine is out on newsstands May 31.
