EncryptorENCRYPTOR, the long time running Death Metal project of Felipe Diez (SorrowStorm, Ministros del Santuario, Rehumanize, Northern Ash, Entorn) has officially been put to rest. The band had two official album releases during their carrer, 2001’s “Drowning in Flesh“, and 2003’s “Sermon Decay“. They also released two best of/compilation albums.

The following is an excerpt from Felipe’s recent statement:

After much thinking and contemplating, I came to the realization that it is better that Encryptor say goodbye as a project. I have done virtually nothing with it for years and have no money, time, energy, or desire to continue with the project. I still love brutal death metal and I always will; this decision was not easy to make. This year I’ve been burnt out with all my projects and now that I am in seminary (very costly) and living on my own in Seattle, I cannot continue with some of them. This is why I canned Rehumanize and now Encryptor. They had to go.

Encryptor has been a well respected project in its original location in Panama and in other parts of the world, having broken records for being the best produced, most widely distributed, having the most releases, the most international exposure, and the most brutal death metal / grind band in the small nation, according to critics and fans alike.

I thank everyone who has been somehow involved with me while Encrypting and those of you who enjoy the music and lyrics that have been churned out of the Encrypting machine. May brutality be your goal and may Christ be your strength.

Thanks be to God that he allowed me to praise Him with Encryptor.

Godspeed,
Felipe Diez III
