The promoters behind GODZ FEST, the Florida based metal festival have announced that the festival will not happen. The statement posted on the festivals Facebook reads as follows:
After careful consideration and prayer we have decided to cancel Godzfest. This is a huge loss for us in many ways. But without ticket sales we can not continue this event. Everyone wants something like this to happen but know one wants to support it. It takes people buying tickets especially and event this large on this scale. I know some of you did purchase tickets and VIPs we will work on reinbursing those asap.
This will take time. Please be pateint. All ticketmaster tickets have all ready been refunded and I-tickets will refund as well. We have record of all the VIPs on file and some ticket purchases. Write to us at Godzfest P.O. box 17582 Clearwater Fl 33762 Give amount of tickets purchased note we must have records of this to reinuburse. For all others any who booked rooms, or flights we appologise and hope you can find or make other arrangements. Most airlines will allow you to keep credit on file for 12months to use at another time. We have purchased tickets as well that are at a loss. For all supporters, bands involved, everyone that was a real blessing through the tough times of this we say thank you, and Godbless. Hope this event will do better next year.
