So what do you get if you take AC/DC, Rhino Bucket and Cinderella throw them in a blender, mix it up really good and pour it over top of the Bible? Why GX Project of course! What is GX Project you ask? Well GX Project is another MUST have release for 2012 for all those Christian Metal fans out there and their debut album, ‘Bite Stick’, has just been released! GX Project is a brand new side project from Rex Scott lead vocalist and member of X-Sinner, who really should need no introduction if you are reading this. But just in case, X-Sinner have been one of Christian Metals main dietary staples since the late 80’s even through to today!

So it goes without saying that immediately the X-Sinner comparisons are going to start flooding in when the reviews start coming out, it really is unavoidable. How can any front man ever get away from their main bands roots and sound when the front man is just that, the voice of the band! Well that proves to be even more the case when you are Rex Scott who’s main gig has often found him labeled as the Christian version of Brian Johnson! But this writer is not going to go there! Well I guess maybe it’s a little too late for that now isn’t it!

But seriously GX Project is an excellent release featuring 11 killer tracks of great rock n roll! There is a little something here for everyone from rockers, to ballads (kinda) and even a little blues! The first 3 tracks are all catchy rock tunes starting with the first track ‘Let’s turn it up’! Then it jumps right in to ‘Waitin on JC’ which you can probably figure out what that songs all about! The third track is also the first single ‘Tricky little devil’ and it hasn’t slowed down yet, and it’s quite a catchy tune! This disc has quite a few catchy and memorable tunes that are sure to keep you rockin! Tracks like ‘OMG’ , ‘Get me outa this hell’ and ‘Long way down’ keep up the pace and the disc hasn’t slowed down yet! I would love to hear some of these tunes played in a live setting!

One of the catchiest tracks of all to me is kind of a bluesy little number called ‘Bite the hand that feeds’ I found myself singing along to this one during the song and having it stuck in my head throughout the day! All in all this is truly a must have disc for 2012 and yes if you were waiting for the next X-Sinner album this is sure to tide you over while you wait! Pick it up now as I understand that this was a very limited pressing and quantities are limited!
