George Ochoa of DELIVERANCE posted on the Godz Fest Facebook wall that there will be “No Deliverance at Godz Fest”. As we had previously reported Godz Fest was supposed to be the final performance ever of DELIVERANCE as Jimmy Brown had decided to close the books on DELIVERANCE. You can read the article here.
Godz Fest representatives have yet to make an official announcement regarding the cancellation however had the following to say in response to George Ochoa’s original posting:
“Do not loose fret we have many more bands being added much more . Was this a disappointment yes but those you expect to honor something don’t and then your left hanging. There are still well over 20 bands performing bands that tour and are very professional musically. This is no loss merly move on. You may get real surprises at Godzfest. If you don’t have anything positive to say keep your posts to yourself if you want to go fine attend if not head to Cornerstone Bro Godzfest will happen and rock despite its set backs even Cornerstone gets cancellations its just the way it goes.”
Godz Fest is set to take place August 20th at The Cuban Club in Tampa, FL.
