This collection of music, not only defines a generation, but is a historical look at Christian rock music through the songs of the band who paved the way for many more Christian rock bands to follow.
While paving the way for Christian rock bands, Petra experienced the peak of its success. It was undoubtedly the world’s most popular Christian rock band, with each of its albums during that period selling hundreds of thousands of copies while the band sold out arenas and regularly placed songs at the top of Christian radio charts. No Christian rock band had sold more records, played before bigger crowds or enjoyed such pervasive radio airplay. Even now Petra is one of the most recognized names in the Christian rock scene.
