May 1, 1994 was one of the blackest days in the history of Formula 1. That day Formula 1 lost probably the best driver they ever had. It was the day that Ayrton Senna crashed at the Grand Prix of San Marino, at Imola.

The documentary shows the rise of Ayrton Senna in Formula 1. SENNA provides a beautiful picture of the person Ayrton Senna, the passion, his eagerness, his emotion. The documentary shows both the hardness and the politics of sport as well. The film is beautifully cut into chapters. We follow the Driver from 1984 until his death in 1994. We see his great victories, but also his disappointments and his struggles.

SENNA is not only sports footage, but also gives you a look behind the scenes. In addition, the Senna family provided beautiful material of the private life of Ayrton Senna for this documentary. The film is an intimate document, worthy of the person Ayrton Senna.
