Tourniquet is busy recording a new studio album, the long awaited follow up to 2003′s Where Moth and Rust Destroy. Below you can read a new album update by Ted Kirkpatrick (drums).

I’m excited to report that after 4 days of recording in Chicago, the drum tracks are all finished for the upcoming Tourniquet album. The drum sound is absolutely fantastic. I had a blast working with our producer, Neil Kernon. We’re definately off to a good start! I’ll post a video clip or two soon…

Tourniquet raised the funds to record their new album via the website Kickstarter. Kickstarter allows for fans to pledge funds to a project, and the project is only funded if they reach a set goal by the end of the campaign. Tourniquet managed to fund their project with fans pledging $28,475.
