Visual CliffProgressive Metal band VISUAL CLIFF has announced an all new line up for the upcoming 2010 album, “Collective Spirit” which will be released later this year on Trinity Productions.

The band released the following statement:

So far it has been Rob and Thomas (drums) working together on recording all of the drum tracks for the new music that Rob has composed for the “Collective Spirit” album.  As well as Shane laying down his vocal tracks.  Well over the last month a bitter sweet but exciting wrinkle has emerged.

Both Eric Fuller (bass) & Rob Klan (keys) have had to unfortunately retire from being involved with VC.  Family and jobs sometimes take a toll on ones free time.  Its regretful but its a part of life.  However, the good Lord has seen fit to bring in some pretty incredible players to join the mission!!

Lets get to introducing the new cast of characters!!!

Mike Florio

The duties of keys/hammond/synth will now fall into the more than capable hands of Mike Florio.  If you dont know of Mike’s body of work…you need to.  This guy is an amazing keyboardist.  His latest single had him working with the likes of Randy George of Ajalon fame who has also worked with Neal Morse and Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater.  Check out Mike Florio here > MASS DREAM

Having Mike in the fold will certainly elevate “Collective Spirit” to new heights.  Please spread the word about Mike’s music as well.  It’s fantastic.

David Michael

On bass guitar is David Michael.  David is a great bass player and a very talented guitarist as well.  His progressive/symphonic metal band “Promise Land” is working on releasing new material and it is going to be awesome!  David is very well versed in so many genres and that diversity will provide some very interesting power and groove to the music.

Thomas Schuffert

Thomas Schuffert is the new drummer.  His talent and chops have been a joy to record and jam with!  Power and finesse will be evident thoughout the album.  The really cool thing about Thomas is that he knows when to hold back and just groove it out and when to unleash.
