Killing Goliath – S/T

KillingGoliathCoverKilling Goliath is self-described on their Facebook as being founded with “the purpose to make honest, fast and passionate hardcore”. This band is from the Netherlands and plays straightforward hardcore with a radical message. This not only reflects in their Facebook statement, but also in their lyrics. The first track ‘Takeover’ starts right off with the words “Let Your kingdom come. Let Your will be done.”

The band clearly has the European sound; it is straightforward, raw and chaotic as it should be, if you ask me. Takeover is a cry to God in this broken world. This theme is actually found in all four songs on this EP. The songs are musically very much different though.

The band is starting to get a nice fan-base in the Netherlands by doing quite a few live performances around the country, even supporting Inhale/Exhale last yea as an opening band. It is time that the band get’s a bit more attention outside the Netherlands.

This EP is available both digitally via Bandcamp and physically on 7″ vinyl through Unite Records. Killing Goliath shows that the European scene is far from dead.
