The following was posted on Chaz’s facebook:

Hello friends and fans. Today I bring you news that is a mixture of both sorrow and pride for me. As of this moment I am no longer the vocalist of JACOBS DREAM. Today it was decided that now is the time for this great chapter in my life to come to a close. I joined the band at the end of 2003. I spent ten exciting years as the front man of JD while having the honor of attempting to fill the shoes of original vocalist David Taylor. I will tell you that it has been an amazing ride. Being a member of JD allowed me to perform live in Germany, Mexico and twice in Puerto Rico.

Those were and always will be some of the greatest memories of my life that I will cherish until my days are no more. In addition to that I happened to meet a beautiful Puerto Rican girl at the first show we did on the island and two years later she relocated to Ohio and became my wife. We have been married for six years now with a beautiful daughter. Another great thing that I will always be grateful for are the friendships with my brothers in the band. John, Jon, Gary and James. I love them like they are my blood. We didn’t always see eye to eye but I wouldn’t trade the last decade for anything. They were there for me through some very difficult times and often helped me with personal issues that were completely outside the band. It is with great sadness that I bring this new to you the fans.

I want to thank you all for the love you have shown at shows and through fan letters etc. I am very proud to have been a part of the last three JD albums. I am also proud of having the honor to perform live for many of you over the past decade. I am sorry that it has to end this way but chapters come and go and now is that time for the Chaz Era of JD. Although I am sad for the present I am also optimistic about the future. I will now focus on making the next BIOGENESIS record called DEVOLVED.

I will be touring with Bio even more now as I go forward with my musical endeavors. If you are a fan of my vocals Id like to invite you to take a look at BIOGENESIS if you haven’t already. I am far from done with my music life as I am aware that it is Gods calling on my life. To the guys in the band, I love you guys and wish nothing but the baest for you and thank you for all the great memories! To the fans, thank you all so much for your support over the past ten years! All of you! Where ever you are in the world, I cherish you so much and God bless you all…..
